Raymond W. Suarez
Ray Suarez is President of Quality Management International. He is an
entrepreneur and business owner who is trained and experienced as a venture capitalist, strategic planner, financial analyst, arbitrator, educator, and diplomat.
Ray earned the prestigious designation of Certified Management Consultant (CMC) granted by the Institute of Management Consultants in recognition of achieving the highest standards of competence, professionalism, and ethical conduct in the consulting profession. He has been a member of the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) and has achieved certifications by SHRM as a Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) and a Global Professional in Human Resources (GPHR). He has been a member of the Institute of Management Consultants (IMC) and the Project Management Institute (PMI) and has served on the Board of Directors of IMCUSA, as Chairman and President of the IMC National Capital Region, on the Board of the National Association of Investment Companies' Management Consulting Group, and as director, advisor, and principal to numerous client and affiliated enterprises.
Prior to founding QMI, Ray served as Vice President of Broadcast Capital Fund, Inc., with responsibilities for investment development, portfolio management, operations, and general management of a media and communications private equity investment firm. He previously served as Senior Planner for New and International Business Development at CBS, Inc., where he developed new products, business strategies, and financial models and analyzed markets and competition for the diversified media company. He is a former Economics and Commercial Officer for the U.S. Department of State, where he developed and promoted U.S. trade and investment in Nigeria, forecasted Nigerian economic performance, and earned the U.S. Foreign Service Meritorious Honor Award. He has also worked as a Financial Analyst with the First National Bank of Boston, evaluating products, markets, and financial performance of existing and prospective clients, projecting demand for loans and services, and formulating and presenting recommendations to management.
Ray is a graduate of the Harvard Business School Executive Education Program on Entrepreneurship, the National Association of Small Business Investment Companies' Venture Capital Institute, and the Dale Carnegie Sales Institute. He holds certificates in Strategic Leadership of Diversity and Inclusion and Business Coaching for Workplace Learning and Performance. He earned his Bachelor’s degree in Economics and International Relations from Harvard College and a Master's in Business Administration with concentrations in marketing, industry and competitive analysis, and entrepreneurial management from the Harvard Business School.
